NEW Cuttlebug Sample's

Happy Labor Day...
Before I start with my post today I would just like to thank all of you for ALL of your warm comments on my blog yesterday! It was so nice to read each and every post so I thank each and every one of you, it really warms my heart! :)

Today's project is using the NEW Christmas Cuttlebug embossing folder's from Cut At Home. For this project I used the Christmas Ornament embossing folder. To start, I cut out two circles for the embossing and two more for the background. To add a little detail, I stitched the two circles together and added a middle layer of chipboard for stability. To hold the twine, I used the tab punch and inserted it in the middle layer. Once the pieces were all adhered, I sponged on some white ink to make the ornaments pop.

All six ornaments fit in this custom box I made. To make the box I used an 8 1/1 x 11 piece of cardstock.

Here are the instructions ~

Score the 8 1/2 x 11 at 3/4" (long ways) and again at 4 3/4. Turn and score at 3 3/4, 3/4, 3 3/4, 3/4 and the rest can be folded in. Depending on your box, fold in all of the scored area's and put the box together. Once the box is folded, you will notice what area's need to be cut off. Since I wanted my box to close, I kept the middle section and used it for the flap of my box. For those that are interested, I will try to post a template for the box in the coming week.

For the decoration of my box, I used the Winter House embossing folder from Cut At Home. Since I LOVE to use my Janome sewing machine, I added some fun stitching to the front layers as well. **For those that are curious about this machine, I totally recommend getting it! It's so small and compact and for those that have little experience sewing, no worries, they have step by step instructions too. Just so all of you know... I have not done any kind of sewing since the 7th grade, if I can do it, so can you!! LOL :)

On Tuesday I have will be posting some other fun samples using these embossing folders from Cut At Home. Please stop by then and let me know what you think...

Don't forget to sign up for the Blog Candy Giveaway, I will announce a winner on September 6th.

BIG hugs to all,

CC180 From Me to You...

Happy Tuesday everyone...

Today's card is for this week's Color Challenge "CC180" over at Splitcoast. The colors include Close To Cocoa, Ruby Red & Blush Blossom.

For my design it just sort of all came together. I knew with these colors, you can never go wrong with a heart somewhere on your design! The heart was done using chipboard from Stampin' Up! For the heart, I traced the chipboard on a piece of designer seriers paper and glued it to the chipboard. After about 15-20 minutes, I used a sanding block and lightly sanded around the edges.

For the image, I stamped the image in brown staz-on and colored in the sweets using my prisma colored pencils and some gamsol.

Lately you have seen a lot of stitching my cards, that is because sometimes when I don't use it on my cards, they seem a little naked? LOL :) Kind of like, not wearing any make-up except some lipstick! I NEED my lipstick if nothing else! LOL :)

Well thanks again for stopping by, don't forget to sign up for the card giveaway, I will announce a winner on August 23. :)

Here is the recipe ~ Stamps: Tiers of Treats - Stampendous, So Many Sayings (SU) Paper: Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, Ruby Red, Blush Blossom Ink: Brown Staz-on Accessories: Cuttlebug/DVine Swirls - Cut At Home, Ribbon, Chipboard, Janome Sewing Machine, Buttons & White Floss, Prisma Colored Pencils & Gamsol.

Well, thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day!
Stamping hugs,

WT179 Copic Challenge

WOW I am on a roll today!!! Here is another fun card I made for today's Ways to Use it Challenge "WT179" over at Splitcoast. As some of you know, Copic markers are HOT and really fun to work with. Since I am Copic Certified I am comfortable to say why I LOVE them so much! You can color on just about anything, ribbon, metal, glass, ect. They are refillable and come in a ton of colors and you can even erase with them (Blender marker). Since I got my stash of Copics, I have not even touched my colored pencils or SU Markers. If you have the chance to order a few, get a few markers in your favorite color and start playing. If you need some help, please stop by Marianne's Blog "I Like Markers", she posts everyday and has some of the best tutorials on how to use them.
So today's challenge is to use Copics. No Copic markers??? You can still play, use some other type of blending marker/colored pencil.
Here is a close-up picture. As you can see from the picture, I layered the ribbon on the present, paws and feet. For a little extra fun I added some glitter using the clear Spica pen.
Recipe ~ Stamps: Paper: Close to Cocoa, Whisper White, Daisy Bucket Ink: Black Memento Accessories: Copics, Ribbon, Cuttlebug - DVine Swirls.
I would like give a special thanks to Vivienne from Crafting Haven, I could not of made this card with out her! Thanks Viv for all of the wonderful images, you are so sweet!! :)

Thanks again for visiting & all of your wonderful comments! :)

Mothers & Daughters Creations Challenge - Outline Stamps

Thanks for visiting Jennifer's Sweet Designs... Here is my challenge card for Mothers & Daughters Creations. The challenge is to create a card using these beautitful detailed outline stamps. Since I have been sewing a lot on my cards, I chose the Sparkle Pocket image.

The pocket is sewed on but I left the top open so I could add a fun gift card or even some money $$$. For a little extra detail, I added these decorative pearls.

Here is a pull out tag that I also added some stitching on. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up! called Pretty Princess.

For the fun samples using these outline stamps, please visit MDC Blog.

*All supplies can be found at Mothers & Daughters Creations except the Stampin' Up! sentiment.

Recipe ~ Stamps: Outline - Sparkle Pocket, Pretty Princess - Sentiment Paper: Whisper White, Imaginisce - Baby Powder - Oopsie Daisy, Baby Pownder - Queen of the Crib Ink: Black Accessories: Janome Sewing Machine, Ribbon, Decorative Pearls.

SC189 NEW Halloween Cuttlebug Samples

Happy Wednesday! :)

Since I was still up after the Sketch Challenge "SC189" was posted last night, I decided to stamp a fun sample using the NEW Haunted Halloween & Skeleton Scroll embossing folders. Today's sketch works well my daughters 3rd annual halloween party invites.

Here is a picture of inside the first flap. Since these Cuttlebug folders are too cute to cover up, I used the Haunted Halloween folder on both the front & the inside of the card.
For the inside of the card I also added the haunted halloween folder. To add a little extra detail to the card, I cut out the door on both the front and inside of the haunted house.

Recipe ~ Paper: Black, Basic Grey, Whisper White, Elegant Eggplant Ink: Whisper White, Elegant Eggplant Accessories: Cuttlebug: Haunted Halloween & Skeleton Scroll - Cut At Home, Janome Sewing Machine. (All printed info. was done on the computer)

Please stop by a little later, I have two more Anni-Verve-sary cards to show all of you.
