A Card For June...

Here is a special card I made for June. My dad was over for Easter and its seems as though she is sicker the she is telling us kids! I guess being a parent we want to protect out children as much as we can & that includes the REAL truth about what the doctors are saying. I have been sending June cards at least once a week but now I will be sending them a little more often! I want her to know we are thinking of her and praying that she gets better everyday! Please keep June in your prayers...

Mojo30 Two Hearts, One Lifetime...

Here is a fun card I designed for Julee's Mojo Sketch Challenge "Mojo30". I LOVE Julee's sketches and try to play every week. When I saw the "Anniversary Birds" for sale last month I ordered them right away! The "Phoebe" by Basic Grey, goes so well with these stamps. Cindy Haffner sent me some of this yummy paper for my Birthday a few months ago.

Tip: I used a piece of tape to hold down the piece of cardstock that I stamped the bird on. I took my Soft Sky ink pad and dragged it down over the piece of cardstock a couple of times. The bird was stamped again in chocolate chip on some of the background paper and glued on over the stamped image. The leaves were stamped on the green background paper and cut out. If you have some beautiful paper you have been saving, try this fun tip. Fun but simple!

Finger Puppet Easter Card...

Here is a fun Finger Puppet Card I made for my little ones for Easter. Martha Stewart made these adorable cards the other day on here show and since I make cards, I had to try it! You can find all the instructions plus the bunny template here. Watch complete video here.

For my card I stamped out eggs instead of flowers and sponged on the blue background. For the bunnies I used some fabric instead of felt. Since I don't really know how to sew, I watched this short video on Youtube on the Blanket stitch. It was super easy and really fun to make! If you end up making one of these, please link your card here, I would LOVE to see your cards!
Have a great day! Jennifer :)

Too Cute For Words...

Hello & Happy Saturday!

I got these silly scalloped circles from the Stampin' Up! Mini Occasions Collection. At first I really did not care for them, they are NOT a card, its just a plan piece of cardstock that is scalloped. Well, after making two cards with them, I am really glad I ordered them. They come in 3 colors - Groovy Guava, Soft Sky & Wild Wasabi. 12 in all PLUS you will get 12 Chocolate Chip envelopes.

For my card, all of the large circles were made using the creative memories circles. The white scalloped piece in the center was done using the corner round punch from Stampin' Up! The image was stamped using black staz-on onto watercolor paper and watercolored using my ink pads. Just for a little glitter, I added some Star Dust stickles on the egg & flowers.

All images can be found at "Mothers & Daughter Creations".

Recipe - Stamps: Serendipity Stamps, SU Rub-Ons Paper: Watercolor, Soft Sky, Whisper White, Soft Sky Prints, So Saffron Ink: Black Staz-on, Wild Wasabi, So Saffron, Apricot Appeal, Soft Sky Accessories: Corner Round Punch, SU Ribbon, Scalloped Punch, Circle Punch, Star Dust Stickles Technique: Watercoloring

Quick Peek...

Here is a quick peek of a card I just got done stamping. I will post a little something & the recipe tomorrow.

Thanks for visiting, Jennifer :)

TLC158 Embrace Life...

If you like to emboss you might like this challenge & technique. For today's challenge "TLC158"you are to stamp an image onto vellum paper and then deboss it with a stylus. Click here for step-by-step directions.

For my card, I first stamped the images on a piece of vellum 3 x 4 with Black staz-on. After that dried, I turned the vellum over and used my stylus to color in the areas I wanted to deboss. Don't worry the vellum does turn white while you are embossing. Just for a little more fun I added some random polka dots to the piece as well.

Recipe: Stamps: Embrace Life Paper: River Rock, Patterned Paper Ginger Blossom, Vellum Ink: Black Staz-on Accessories: Ribbon
