A Quick and Easy Easter Project and Card ~ Enjoy

Hello and thanks for stopping by!  I took some time out today to create some fun items for Easter...  Since its such a fun holiday to create, I put together this project and matching card.  I created the chick using circle punches, ink and my oval Nesties.

The pails can be purchased at Archivers or even a dollar store.  They are SUPER fun to make projects with and don't forget, they can be filled, stuffed or even hung - your choice.  For my design, I first created this baby chick - using only circle punches, my small heart punch, oval Nesties and a small square punch.

Here is a close-up... once I punched out the egg using the oval Nestie, I embossed it with one of my favorite embossing folders.

To make it extra fun, I made a matching card using some extra scraps.  The border was created using two border punches by Martha Stewart.  Enjoy the close-up below...

Thanks for stopping by... Please stop back soon... I have several more cards, projects and a giveaway all this week.

More Valentine Cards and Two Winners

Hello and thanks for stopping by today... I would like to begin by announcing the winner/s of my card  and twine giveaway. I actually picked two for the giveaway!  Using the random generator Heidi Brawley and Sue from Oregon were picked, please email me so I can mail your cards and goodies out to you.

I want to apologize for the late post... My daughter Hannah has not been feeling well the last week or so and may have strep.  Hannah seems to catch everything and stays sick longer then a healthy child.  Hopefully the step results are negative.

Even though I am not blogging as much, I am still finding the time to create.  Here are some more cards I created for those special people in our lives.  Above is a card using the "Z-Fold.  Cut a piece of 8 1/2 x 11 piece of card stock horizontal.  After dividing the two pieces, take one of the strips and fold it over to make a A2 size card.  Then fold the top piece again.  Decorate and layer using your favorite paper and supplies.

I also created a card using the Gate fold layout.  Cut a 8 1/2 x 11 piece of card stock long side - horizontal.  Score vertical lines 2 1/8 on each side.  Fold side panels inward to form a gate fold card.  To hold the card together, I created a belly band using a piece of dsp.

And last but least a card using the beautiful paper by K&Company - Valentine

Enjoy your week and don't forget to stop by soon for more uploads and giveaways!

More Valentine Cards to Share...

Just a Quick post... Thanks for all those that stopped by yesterday and commented!  Here are another couple designs that I created for Valentine's Day.  The base of my card is chocolate chip, then I layered a piece of kraft cardstock on top.  I used my heart nesties and layered the kraft cs with the larger of the two hearts and then followed with another die cut with the smaller nestie heart.  The background in the inside of the card was stamped with the sentiment.  Additional hearts were added outside the card and I then finished off the card with some red and white twine.
The second card was designed around this very rustic and masculine paper by Canvas Corp called Kraft Love Words.  I found it at Archivers and fell in love with it!  As you all know I love kraft cardstock and try and use it as much as I can.  See below for the close-up.

Enjoy your day and don't forget to leave me a comment for a chance to win one of my Valentine cards and a special treat.  The winner will be announced on Monday, February 6th.
