Friends Forever

WOW, can you believe I posted twice today?! LOL Here is a card I did for last week's Sketch Challenge "SC221" and this week's Color Challenge "CC212".

The background layer was created using the NEW Friendly Words jumbo wheel by SU. Since this sketch required so many layers, I embossed the chocolate chip cardstock using the Birds & Swirls by Cuttlebug.

The colors this week were Chocolate Chip, Riding Hood Red & Pink Pirouette. What a wonderful color combination and it works so well with the Friends 24-7 stamp set. The bird was stamped on the oval Nestabilities using memento ink. I stamped the branch again and colored it in using my Copics.

Thanks again for stopping by! See you tomorrow...

Stamps and Smiles - Carrot Basket

Hello & thanks for stopping by! Today's card & project were created for a fun NEW challenge over at The Pink Elephant. Every Monday a NEW challenge is posted PLUS they have wonderful prizes to offer!! This week it's a theme challenge - Easter. Create anything you wish: a card, project, scrap page, altered item, ect...

For my project I created a 7" x 7" square and scored it at 1.5". The corners were scored and folded. I then punched out a hole in each of the corners and tied the corners with some ribbon. The handle was created using a strip of cardstock that measured 2.5" x 8.5". A border was added using the eyelet border punch by Stampin' Up! I then layered a strip of bashful blue and delicate dots designer paper by Stampin' Up!. For some extra detail on the handle of the basket, I stamped out a pair carrots using the Mama Bunny Loves Me stamp set by Stamps and Smiles.
I then created this quick card that measures 4.25 x 4.25. This adorable bunny is from the Sleepy Bunny set by Stamps and Smiles. The image was stamped in memento ink and colored in using my Copics.

Thanks for stopping by! Tomorrow, I have another fun card to show all of you. Until then, enjoy your week!

OCC - Color Challenge & Giveaway

Hello and and thanks for stopping by!! Today's card is for this week's challenge over at Our Creative Corner. Kim is wrapping up her hostess month with a fun color challenge. The colors are Not Quite Navy, Bashful Blue & More Mustard.

Since I just got this NEW stamp set from Stampin' Up! called Animal Crackers, I used the adorable duck from the set! I stamped the image using black memento ink and colored it up using my Copics. For a little extra fun, I popped the head up using a stampin' dimensional.

Here is a close-up of the baby duck, isn't he cute?! He is sitting on the frame of the NEW Label 3 Nestabilities from Cut At Home. The background was embossed using a smaller die. I created the swirls around the frame and added a quick bow. Quick, simple and super sweet!

Stamps and Smiles Sketch Challenge - SASSC7

Hello and welcome to Jennifer's Sweet Designs!! For those that stopped over yesterday, my blog was having issues with Photobucket. It is still a little messed up but I can at least post again!!

Today's card is for this week's Sketch Challenge over at the Stamps and Smiles challenge blog. Every Thursday a NEW sketch will be posted, grab some of your favorite stamps & supplies and have fun with our sketch each week. There is no time limit on our challenges so we hope you will play along with us!!

For my sample, I am using the NEW Mama Bunny Loves Me set. I stamped the image using memento ink and colored it in using my Copics. The bottom portion of the cupcake was stamped on the Sweet Slumber paper, isn't this paper beautiful?! I just LOVE all of the NEW paper in the Stampin' Up! catalog!! The layers were pierced and then I popped up the bunny on the circle Nestabilities. To finish the card, I added a fun bow.

Check out the cards from The Fresh Batch:
Mercy Kerin

Here is another fun sample I created using the Mama Bunny Loves Me set. The sketch layout is from this week's Sketch Challenge "SC220" over at Splitcoast. For my design, I colored in the bunny using my Copics. The arms of the rabbit were slit so the baby bunny could fit inside her arms. I created a cracked egg using my oval Nestabilities and and my NEW EK Success punch. For a little extra detail on the egg and white panels, I embossed them using the large polka dots by Sizzix.
Thanks so much for stopping by! See you tomorrow with another fun card/project...

OCC Challenge - 3 Layers

Hello and thanks for stopping by!! Today's card is for this week's challenge over at Our Creative Corner. Our March host, Kim Teasdale, has challenged us to create a card using a maximum of three layers. Most of you know that this is quite the challenge for me!! LOL

For my card layout, instead of using cardstock, I got right to the good stuff! I used some of this gorgeous paper called Parisian Breeze Specialty by Stampin' Up! After cutting it to size, I used my ric rac scalloped pierceabilities from Cut At Home. This still allowed me two more layers, so I took my main image and used my square Nestabilities right in the center of my card.

The image is from the Blooming with Love by Stampin' Up! I just LOVE this stamp set and it is SO much fun to color!! To finish off the card, we were allowed to use one embellishment, so I decided on ribbon.

We hope you will join us in our weekend challenge, remember there is no time limit on our challenges. Please feel free to participate in any of our challenges at any time. To play along, just post your project to your blog or gallery, then include a link in the Mr. Linky form at the bottom of the OCC post. If you upload to SCS, use keyword: OCCC.

Thanks again for stopping by, have a wonderful weekend!!

Easter Basket Tutorial

Hello and thanks for stopping by!! I created this Easter basket using some scraps I had laying around. Not only was this basket fun to make but it was super easy too!! The patterned paper is from the Delightful Girls collection found at Cut At Home. The first step is determine how big you want your basket. Here is how I made mine... I cut a 7.5" square and scored it at 2.5" on all four sides. Cut the two center rows to the center and add your adhesive on the inside middle flaps.
Since I wanted my basket to have a little fun detail, I glued my basket together as soon as the outside pieces touched at the top. Repeat on the other side.

Create a handle, mine measures 2" by 7". Add adhesive and add the handle to the inside of the basket.

Pictured above you can see I added some fun ovals on the outside of my basket using my oval Nestabilities from Cut At Home. Once my box was complete, I crimped some paper and cut it into strips. The strips were then scrunched up and added to my basket. If you decided to make one of these baskets, I would LOVE to see it!! Post a link here so I can check it out.
Please stop by tomorrow, I will be posting my sample for the OCC! Have a wonderful weekend!!

Hello and welcome to Jennifer's Sweet Designs!! Today's card is for this week's Sketch Challenge over at the Stamps and Smiles blog. Every Thursday a NEW sketch will be posted. There is no time limit on our challenges so we hope you will play along with us!!

For my sample, I am using the NEW Egg-stra-special stamp set. Since I happen to LOVE pink, I am using the Sweet Always paper by Stampin' Up! I pierced each of the fun layers and then popped up the bunny on the rectangle Nestabilities. This set comes with a plain egg so all of the sentiments can be stamped in the egg. To finish the card, I added a fun bow at the top of the card.
