I have been playing catch up... All four of my kids had the flu this week and my older daughter Brittney had it the worse. I took her to the ER on Wednesday night and we were there for 3 hours. Our wait was all because of the lab. So needless to say after a 2 hour wait for a strep test, it came back negative. Guess what the ER doctor said next... We should do the flu test and that will take another 45 minutes. Now why didn't they just do both tests at the same time?!
