OCC Challenge - Vintage Technique
Vintage Values How-To: Requires 2-3 shades of the same color of ink and a craft sponge. Starting with your lightest shade of ink, use a craft sponge to sweep ink from the outer edges of your cardstock inward as far as you want your glow to touch. Repeat with your next shade of ink, but only sweep about 2/3 as far in (so some of the lighter color still shows in the inner sections). Repeat with the darkest shade of ink (if desired), sweeping with short strokes, only about 1/3 of the way in.
Before I go, I would like to announce the winner for the fun paper & ribbon giveaway. Congratulations to Lauren from Lauren's Cards Ect, please email me your address so I can get your goodies out to you. jdmeyer6@sbcglobal.net
Here is the recipe ~ Stamps: Winter Post, Lovely As a Tree Paper: Kraft, Whisper White, Real Red, Chocolate Chip Ink: Chocolate Chip, Craft White Accessories: MS Glitter - Coarse, Cuttlebug - DVine Swirls - Cut At Home, Ribbon, Twine, Brads.
Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderful day!

Hello & thanks for stopping by... We have another fun challenge over at Our Creative Corner. The challenge is hosted by Julee Tilman, who wanted us to get a little inky with our Verve stamps. The challenge is to give your Verve projects a vintage glow with a technique called Vintage Values.

Cuttlebug Challenge #3 - Spooky Halloween Box
Today's fun project is for this week's Cuttlebug Challenge. The challenge is to use your Cuttlebug on something else but a card. Since its just a couple week's until Halloween, I wanted to make good use out of my NEW Halloween Dies from Sizzix.
For my design, I created this fun Halloween box to store some extra pieces using my Sizzix dies. This way I don't have to cut each & every time I need a NEW piece. I even added dividers in my box, the idea came from Nichole Heady's Blog. You can find the divider tutorial here.
Directions for box: Cut a piece of cardstock 8 x 8. Score all four sides at 1 1/2". Fold, cut and glue in the corners. {I use sticky tape when I make my boxes} For the lid, Cut a piece of 8 x 8 paper. Glue a piece of 8 x 8 decorative paper over the top & let dry. Score at 1 3/8 on all four sides. Fold, cut and glue in the corners. Decorate the top of box.
Thanks again for stopping by! Tomorrow I will post a card/project for a fun challenge by Mothers & Daughters Creations.
Have a wonderful day,

TLC190 Happy Halloween
What Happened???
to this... When we got home Hannah was sick on the couch. At first she complained of a sore throat, then a tummy ache, then she got sleepy and fell asleep for about 45 minutes. When she woke up from her little nap, she had a fever over 102. What happened?!
Boy they get sick so fast! I am planning on taking her to the doctor today to rule out strep, so no stamping until Hannah is better. However, I am working on something fun and hopefully will post it in the next day two.
Have a wonderful week!

I also would like to announce the winner for the fun Halloween pillow box. I LOVED reading all of the fun answers and you all did an amazing job at guessing, but I'm going to go with Cindy Haffner's guess. She guessed ribbon on her first try but I know a couple of you were VERY close {you know who you are... hehe} Thanks for playing and I promise to have another fun game soon! This time ladies, only one guess each! :)

OCC Challenge - Dare to be Square
If you complete the challenge, Lynda created some homemade spooky goodies that one lucky winner will receive. When you've uploaded your project to your blog or gallery, just leave a comment on the OCC blog with a link to your card. All cards need to be linked there by noon on Friday, October 17th! We will post the winner the following Saturday, October 18th.
For my design, I created a mug out of this template. The mug is embossed using the snowflake embossing folder by Cuttlebug. The fun poem called "Snowman Soup" was written in word and to match the baja breeze, I changed the font RGB color to: R: 146 G: 193 B: 195.
I have another fun card to show you for the OCC challenge that will post after 1 pm. I will also announce the winner for yesterdays Halloween box giveaway! Thanks to everyone that played, your guesses were amazing and super fun to read!
