Happy Saturday and thanks for stopping by Jennifer's Sweet Designs. It's Saturday which means its another fun challenge over at Our Creative Corner. Our November host, Denise Marzec, has challenged the OCC to incorporate a Snowmen, Snowflakes or even both on your card/project.Since I LOVE both snowmen & snowflakes, I had to incorporate both on my design. Instead of creating your normal card, I chose to create a pop-up card. I found a wonderful tutorial on Splitcoast, which you can find here. The instructions are step-by-step and they include pictures you can't mess anything up.
The snowman image is stamped using black staz-on on watercolored paper. Using my aqua painter, I used the tops of my ink pads to watercolor the image. For extra detail, I added some liquid applique and heated it to make it puff up like snow.
Once the image was complete, I added it to the base and glued it all together. For some extra fun, I added some Martha Stewart snow glitter around the base. Since it still needed something, I added the snowflakes around the image and added a light dusting of glue & more of the snow glitter. To finish the card, I added the label and sentiment.
