Love Notes & Giveaway

Happy Wednesday :) Thanks for all of your sweet comments yesterday, I changed an option in my settings so I can respond a lot easier to all of your comments & questions! :)

Today's sample is using the envelope die by Quickutz. For my design, I punched out the heart using my heart Nestabilities. The background as well as the heart was embossed using my Cuttlebug D'Vine Swirls embossing folder. The sentiment was added using my tag Nestabilities and to top off the card, the envelopes were added around the heart.

So do you notice the NEW watermark? What do you think? Leave me a comment and you will be entered to win. There will be three winners and if you are picked, I will create a custom watermark for you. I will announce the winners on Sunday, January 4th.

Before I go, there is a big announcement along with a fun giveaway over at Our Creative Corner. Check out all the fun details here.

Happy New Year & Best wishes to you all!! :)

Yummy Cupcake & Giveaway

Happy Tuesday and thanks for stopping! :) For the next few day's I will be sharing some fun samples using the Quickutz dies from Cut At Home. They are so fun to work with and they work perfectly with your Nestabilities. As you know I LOVE my Sizzix dies but I am falling for the Quickutz as well! They work in the Big shot and the Cuttlebug so you don't have to worry about buying another machine.
For my sample above I used the Birthday Cake & Cupcake die. The Quickutz die cuts the top and bottom of the cupcake. For a little extra fun, I put the whip inside the D'Vine Swirl embossing folder and added a flower.
Since I LOVE to give things away... Leave me a comment and you will be entered to win a Quickutz die along with some fun goodies from my stamp room. I will announce the winner on Saturday, January 3rd.

FS99 Always on My Mind, Forever in My Heart :)

Hello and thanks for stopping by! Today's card is for this week's Featured Stamper "FS99" over at Splitcoast. Barbara's gallery is full of wonderful cards and projects, this is the card I cased. Congratulations Barbara, enjoy your special day! :)

For my design, I cut out a scalloped heart using my heart Nestabilities. I layered another heart with a smaller heart for the frame and stamped on the sentiment. Once all the layers were added for the card, the scalloped heart was centered in the card. I added Elmers glue around the heart frame and sprinkled on some Martha Stewart snow glitter.

Thanks so much for stopping by, we are off to Milwaukee for my Birthday! Enjoy your day!

OCC - Clear Thinking

Hello and thanks for stopping by! I hope all of you enjoyed your Christmas and had a wonderful time with your loved ones! It always goes by so fast and now it seems like its one giant toy mess! LOL :)

Today's project is for this weeks challenge over at Our Creative Corner. I created another fun double-pocket bag with a heart shaker and it's filled with confetti hearts and glitter. Our December host Julee Tilman has challenge all of us to using something clear on either a card or project. It can be anything you want – an acetate card or shaker, an acrylic shape, a clear button or embellishment, clear embossing powder, cello bag, etc.

We LOVE it when you play along, remember there is no time limit on our challenges - feel free to participate whenever you are able. To play along, upload your creation to your blog or gallery, then leave us a comment linking to your project so we can check it out. If you upload to SCS, remember to use keyword: OCCC
Here is a close-up of my project - I used my heart Nestabilities to create the window for my heart shaker. For the confetti inside, I created a ton of hearts using my NEW Martha Stewart heart Punch (Pictured Below) along with a little Snow Glitter.
This is how I created the heart shaker - I used my scalloped heart Nestabilities on one side of the bag and ran it through several times until the die went through all of the layers.
I added mounting tape around the heart and filled the inside of the heart with three different colors of hearts. To make it a little more fun, I even added some of my Martha Stewart Snow Glitter. Once your heart is filled, carefully remove the backing to the adhesive. Then use a piece of designer paper and cover the heart.
Once the shaker is complete, you can add your holes for the ribbon handles. Fill you bag with cards, candy or even little fun LOVE notes... :)
Don't forget to check out Our Creative Corner for more samples and inspiration. Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a wonderful weekend and I can't wait to see all of you wonderful cards/project playing along with Our Creative Corner! :)

Happy Sunday and thanks for stopping by! :) Today's card is for this week's Featured Stamper "FS97" over at Splitcoast. America has a beautiful gallery full of gorgeous card and inspiration!! I LOVE all of her cards but this card really stuck out. Since I still need to make a few more Christmas cards, I changed up the card just a bit. All of the designer paper on my card is also by Martha Stewart, it is called the Frost & Gingerbread collection (I got mine at Walmart).

I hope all of you are having a nice weekend and staying warm! It's been a bit cold here in Chicago and VERY windy, I guess that is why we are called The Windy City. LOL :)

SC206 Snow Wonderful Frame Project

Hello and thanks for stopping by! :) Sorry for the late post but we had company today and this was the only time I had to make something fun for today's Sketch Challenge "SC206" over at Splitcoast.

Since I have been making a lot of cards lately, I made my sketch on a fun wooden picture frame I got at Mitchael's. I LOVE making projects especially around Christmas!! My inspiration came from this beautiful paper by Martha Stewart and one of my favorite stamp sets by Verve called Snow Wonderful. All of the snowmen got a fun hat using more of this polka dot paper along with a fun pom pom on top. The designer paper was glued down using mod podge. Snowflakes and glitter were added along with the year to personalize my project.

Before I announce the winner for the Christmas Card Giveaway I did for Sundays Featured Stamper, I would like to thank all of you for ALL of your super sweet comments! :) Congratulations to Pat from "Just4fun2", please email me your address so I can get your card out to you. :) jdmeyer6@sbcglobal.net

Christmas Tag Holder & Giveaway

Hello and thanks for stopping by! :) Today's project was inspired by NEW stamps and paper by Martha Stewart. I bought both the paper and stamps at my local Walmart a while ago and have been meaning to use it but really have not had the chance until today! The paper is called Frosty Gingerbread and it comes 12 x 12 and is double-sided. I LOVE this paper, not only is the paper beautiful but its has a cardstock quality to it too. The stamps are called Clear Gingerbread Stamps.

Here is a picture of the front of the bag. I added some liquid glue and sprinkled on some Martha Stewart Snow glitter. This is the same glitter I used on my Verve Advent Calendar.

I created this fun double-pocket bag to store some of my Christmas tags in. Splitcoast has the best project tutorials if you ever want to create something other then a card!! For the complete instructions, click here. Some of you might remember I created one of these bags a while back but I am really excited how this bag turned out!! :)

I did create a few tags but since its late, I will create a few more tomorrow. Since I LOVE to give things away... Leave me a comment and you will be entered to win a complete set of my homemade tags. I will announce the winner on Saturday, December 13th.

Have a wonderful week!

FS96 Creating a Card in Photoshop & Giveaway

Happy Sunday & thanks for stopping by Jennifer's Sweet Designs. Today's card is for this weeks Featured Stamper Challenge "FS96". Since I had a little time to stamp this morning, I cased a card from Anna's Gallery. As soon as I saw this card in her gallery, I got right to it. Dawn Easton did a beautiful card like this a while back and it was so cool that Anna cased Dawn. For my design, I am casing both.
Since I don't own any stamps large enough to cover the top note die, I opened up Photoshop and found an image that would work. Here is how I created a stamp for my design: I opened a picture in Photoshop, clicked on photo effects and change the photo to tint sepia.

I printed the image onto Whisper White cardstock and cut out the image.

I then layered the die with the image and ran it through my Big Shot.

After the image was cut out using my top note die, I added wet glue and sprinkle some Martha Stewart coarse glitter onto my image. I LOVE the way it turned out and really so simple too! Give it a try and let me know how quick and easy it was for you...

Want to win this card? Leave me a comment and you will be entered to win. I will announce the winner on Wednesday, December 10th.

Thanks so much for stopping by, have a wonderful week!

WT195 Got Any Envelopes???

Happy Thursday! Thanks for stopping by, I have a fun card to share along with a small tutorial on my technique. I still want to share a video but I have to get a tripod that will hold my camera first. Once I have the tripod, I hope to share videos instead of pictures as they take up to much room and certainly not as fun!! :) If any of you use a tripod and you LOVE it, I would LOVE to know what model you use?!

Today's card is for this weeks Ways to Use it Challenge "WT195" over at Splitcoast. The challenge this week is to use envelopes. You can incorporate one into your design, create an envelope to compliment a card or your maybe your envelope unfolds to reveal a card...anything you'd like as long as there is an envelope involved in some way.

Supplies Needed:
Cutting Mat
Hobby Blade
Ink
Sponges
Paper pieces to create scene

Place your pieces of cut cardstock to create some fun snow hills. Sponge on using some ink to give it some definition.
Sponge on a background, I chose to use Lovely as a Tree.

At this point this is where I applied my giltter. I used a paint brush to add the glue and dusted the areas with the snow glitter by Martha Stewart.

Here is my background piece for my card. I stamped some snowflakes using chocolate chip and did not re-ink for the lighter snowflakes. I then inked a sponge using close to cocoa and pulled the ink towards the piece of cardstock.

Here is the card completed. Please email me if you have any questions and if you create a card using my fun technique, I would LOVE to see it. Post your card link to the comment section here. jdmeyer6@sbcglobal.net

Tomorrow I will annouce the winners for the BIG Christmas Card Giveaway. Have a wonderful day!
Hugs & Smiles,
