OCC - Technique Challenge

Happy Saturday & thanks for stopping by :) Today's card is for this week's challenge over at Our Creative Corner. Looking at the card, can you tell what the challenge is? If you guessed embossing resist, you guessed right!!

Our Creative Corner samples are sure to inspire!! Dust off those heat guns and pick out your favorite embossing powder, we would LOVE to see your samples!! There is no time limit on our challenges - feel free to participate whenever you are able. If you upload to SCS, remember to use keyword: OCCC
Even though I am in need of NEW stamps, I dusted off one of my favorites sets from Stampin' Up! called "Like it a Latte". The background was stamped using my Tres Chic block stamp and some versamark. Clear embossing powder was sprinkled on and heat set using my heat gun. I then sponged on some close to cocoa ink to make the background pop! For some extra detail, I used my Janome sewing machine and popped out the heart and straw. I like it a latte... :)

Check out these samples from the OCC Design Team ~

Before I go, I would like to announce the winner for the heart shaped card giveaway. Congratulations Chris from Brooklyn Roads. Please email me at jdmeyer6@sbcglobal.net so I can get your Valentine off to you.
A few of you have emailed me with questions. I will post a little something tomorrow along with my answers. You know who you are... :)

Jennifer, this is adorable!!! I can't wait to play today. Emboss resist is my favorite technique and I don't do it nearly as much as I should.

Thanks for sharing your beautiful creation with us.

Once again you lead the way!
THe mbossing is of course, brilliant, but what's taken my fancy even more, is that little touch with the hessian twine on the end of the ribbon. Wonderful detail!
