NEW Cuttlebug Samples & Card Giveaway

Happy Monday!! We are back and refreshed from our little family getaway! :) Hope all of you had a wonderful weekend and had a little time to stamp. Before I continue, I would like to thank all of you for your wonderful comments and on-line friendship. You are all so sweet and it means so much to me! :)

Today's cards were suppose to be posted yesterday but we got home late and I wanted to wait for some better light. If you would like a chance to win one of these cards, post a comment and I will pick 2 winners on August 1st.
My fist card card was made using the NEW Cuttlebug embossing folder "Just My Type" along with "With Love". All the NEW folders can be found at Cut At Home.

The Background paper was embossed with clear embossing powder along with both hearts. The sentiment is embossed on the background piece of Daisy Bucket using the "With Love" folders. I didn't want to take away from the detail from the gorgeous embossing folders so I kept the detail simple.

Recipe - Stamps: Always Paper: Creamy Caramel, Very Vanilla, Blush Blossom, Daisy Bucket Accessories: Cuttlebug Embossing Folders - Just My Type & With Love (Cut At Home) Clear Embossing Powder, Janome Sewing Machine.

The second card was made using the NEW Cuttlebug embossing folder "Just My Type". I used the Stampin' Up! set Embrace life and to make the flowers pop a little, I added a little white detail with my white gel pen. Since the colors are so soft and elegant I had to use my Janome sewing machine (which I am addicted too) on the card. The ribbon was just the final touch to make the card flow.

Recipe - Stamps: Embrace Life Paper: Creamy Caramel, Very Vanilla, Blush Blossom Ink: Close to Cocoa Accessories: Nestabilities - Cut At Home, Cuttlebug - Just My Type, Ribbon, Janome Sewing Machine, White Gel Pen.

Please stop by after dinner, I have a special card to show all of you that I am sending to June along with some beautiful RAK's. Have a wonderful day!

Happy Saturday!! I am so glad the weekend is finally here!! My husband has the next three days off and we are planning some fun family time away from home. We are heading up to Milwaukee for a fun trip to the Milwaukee zoo and some dinner at the Milwaukee Ale House (Yummy)!!! :)

Today's card is for Our Creative Corner challenge, which is every Saturday. This is my last week hosting and for my last challenge of the month, I thought we would try "Christmas in July".

I had something totally different in mind for a card but then it came to me to do something a little bit different. I LOVE this holiday paper from Stampin' Up! and was so glad to know I stocked up on this beautiful paper last year.

The card measures 3 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 7. I scored the card every 3 1/2". As I decorated the card, I sort of just made it up as I went along and since I had my little handy sewing machine out, you guessed it... I added some fun stitching on my card as well.

Here is a picture of the card closed. Since the card needs a little help staying shut, I added the grosgrain ribbon to it.

Please check out the other girls from Our Creative Corner, the samples will most definitely put you in a holiday mood. Well, a Christmas in July holiday mood! LOL :)

Recipe - Stamps: Naughty or Nice Paper: Real Red, Very Vanilla, Dashing Ink: Black Accessories: Ribbon, Janome Sewing Machine, Circle Punch.

Well, I hope all of you enjoy your weekend! Thanks so much for all of your wonderful comments and thoughtful emails.

NEW Embossing Folder Samples

Happy Friday...
Thanks so much for stopping by! I have been working on several cards using the NEW Embossing folders by Provocraft. I LOVE them all but I think the Argyle is one of my favorites!

Here is a fun card I designed for a SWEET baby boy card! The base of the card is blue. I matted another piece of blue with the white and added my four embossed panels. I added a tiny bit of adhesive to hold the panels in place and added some fun stitching on the four panels along with the top & bottom of the card.
The main image opens up for the SWEET sentiment! The main image is kept closed by the slit punch. For a little extra detail on the card, I added some ribbon and a button.

This card was made for one of the Dare to Get Dirty challenges that is happening over on Splitcoast this week. Each day, a few past and present Dirty Dozen designers host challenges for the Fan Club members to participate in. If you would like to play, you can read about all the details here. My card is for Julia's challenge "DTGD08Julia" and it has to do with a sewing machine, hehe!! LOL :)

Recipe - Stamps: Year After Year, Bundle of Joy Paper: Bashful Blue, Whisper White, Prints Ink: Black, Bashful Blue Accessories: Argyle Embossing Folder - Cut At Home, Nestabilities - Cut At Home, Ribbon, Buttons, Janome Sewing Machine.

Please stop by tomorrow, I will be posting my card for "Our Creative Corner"challenge! We hope all of you play along!

Stamping hugs,

Card Challenge & Giveaway ...

Happy Thursday!!

I have two cards to share with you today. The first card is for the Mothers & Daughters Creations Challenge. Every Thursday a NEW challenge is posted. For today's challenge, you are to create a card using your favorite Bo-Bunny paper. If you don't have any, any patterened paper will do.

Look at the fun goodies by Bo-Bunny. Play in our challenge and you could win this awesome candy! Link your card here and a winner will be announced August 1st.

Since I LOVE to color, I reached for this stamp set again along with my wonderful supply of Copic markers! :) To add a little extra detail to the main image, I sponged on some Close to Cocoa ink. The tag was made using my ticket punch.

Please don't pay to much attendtion to the stitching on the card, my sewing machine was being difficult!! LOL :)

Check out what the girls did with this challenge! Maria, Cindy and Tamara

The next card I would like to share is just a simple card using this week sketch for Sketches Sketch Challenge "SC54". Tamara would LOVE it if you played along. If you upload your cards to Splitcoast, please using "Sketches" in the keywords.

NEW Cuttlebug Folders Sample

Hello Everyone,
Before I start with my card, I would just like to thank everyone for all of your wonderful comments and emails. Without you and your feedback, it would always be a guessing game for me, so thank!! :)

Since I got some NEW goodies in the mail today, I had to play. I created this card for some close friends of ours that are expecting a baby girl in August. The fun embossing on the background of the cards was done using the NEW Cuttlebug embossing folders Argyle and Just My Type.
Just My Type are 5 single embossing folders that work so well with borders and single strips of paper. All the NEW embossing folders can be found at Cut At Home. Marcie is also doing a pre-order for the NEW Fall/Winter Cuttlebug Embossing folders, check it out here.
The bunny was inked using Close to Cocoa. I colored in the image using my Stampin' Up! Pastels. To add a little texture to the image, I added a little white flock to it. The layer with the image opens and that is where I stamped the sentiment which reads, "A new little someone sent from above. Full of sweetness and wonder, bundled in love".

Recipe - Stamps: Bundled in Love Paper: Pretty in Pink, Whisper White Ink: Close to Cocoa, Craft White Accessories: Nestabilities - Rectangle - Cut At Home, Slit Punch, SU Buttons & Ribbon, Cuttlebug Embossing Folders - Argyle & Just My Type - Cut At Home.
