Our Creative Corner - Music Challenge

Hello & thanks for stopping by!! Today's card is for this week's challenge over at Our Creative Corner. This week our January host, Joycelyn Turner, has challenged the OCC to a Music Challenge - create a card/project using music as your inspiration! For my sample, I created something fun for my favorite music group A-Ha. For those that follow my Blog know that I LOVE Morten and can you believe they have not toured the United States since 1985?!?! Guess what, they are coming back to tour for their 25th year Anniversary - WHAAAAAAATTTTT!! So here's to you A-Ha - I totally adore you and LOVE all that you do - see you soon!! XOXO

Starbucks Cookie Holder - Project & Tutorial

Hello & thanks for stopping by!! Before I begin with my tutorial, I would just like to tell you that Starbucks is making it easy for you to donate to Haiti Earthquake Relief effort. I am making my project for my dad, he is having surgery today on his left hand. A few months ago he had surgery on his right hand for carpal tunnel and now he is getting his left hand done. So to cheer him up, I made him a fun treat! While I was at Starbucks the other day, I noticed some parfaits filled in the SB cups and thought of this fun idea. So before I left, I asked for some cups and filled them up with homemade cookies. Attached to the project, I added a Starbucks gift card.

Cookie recipe/Toll House Cookie recipe:

• 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
• 3/4 cup granulated sugar
• 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 2 large eggs
• 2 cups of Nestle Toll House - Semi Sweet Chocolate Morsels
• 1 cup chopped nuts

Stamps and Smiles Sketch Challenge - SASSC50

Hello & thanks for stopping by today!! My sample for today is for this week's Sketch Challenge "SASSC50" over at Stamps and Smiles. We warmly invite you to play along, feel free to use your favorite stamps and supplies.
On my sample I used more of this beautiful Valentine paper by TPC Studio called Little Lovin' - Hearts all Over. I used a NEW image by Stamps and Smiles called Love Birds. The image was colored using my Copics and cut out. Stitching was added on each of the layers and for fun, I created a pocket on the heart where I added a removable mini heart & sentiment.

For my design I used more of my favorite paper by Martha Stewart - I LOVE it and can't get enough of it!! I printed out the NEW digi set by Stamps and Smiles called Love Birds. Here is the second digi set being sampled called Life is Like a Box of Chocolates. This digi set measures 4 x 8. It has 4 images and 13 sentiments.

Here is the first set being sampled called Be My Valentine - Cuppy. This digi set contains 10 images. For my samples, I used some NEW paper by Pink Paislee called Bow & Arrow. For my first sample, I covered a box of conversation hearts with a layer of white cardstock and then some of this NEW paper. Stitching was added and I just ruffled the edges. My card was created using more of this yummy paper - I LOVE it! The images were printed and colored up using my Copics.

Our Creative Corner - Color Challlenge & Giveaway

For my card layout, I used a NEW image by Stamps and Smiles called Valentine Bunny. This image is available to purchase at the Stamps and Smiles store. I used some paper by SU called summer picnic. The image was printed on white cardstock and cut out using my oval Nestabilities. I colored up the image using my Copics and paper pieced the blanket. Hearts were then added along with glitter to the trim of the blanket. To add some detail to the heart, I added crystal effects.

Hello & thanks for stopping by!! Today's card is for this week's Sketch Challenge over at Stamps and Smiles. Every Thursday our sketch is posted on The Fresh Batch and Our Creative Corner. For my card layout, I used a NEW image by Stamps and Smiles called Valentine Bunny. This image is available to purchase at the Stamps and Smiles store. I created the heart border using a punch by Martha Stewart and the paper is also by Martha Stewart. After I printed out my image, I colored it up using my Copics. Crystal effects and glitter were added to the image. To finish off my card, I added some ribbon and a tag.

Project Tuesday - One Sheet Box

Hello & thanks for stopping by! Today’s project is for this week’s challenge over at Stamps and Smiles - Project Tuesday. This week we are making a one sheet box. We warmly invite you to play along, feel free to use your favorite stamps and supplies.

For my box, I used my Scor-pal. After scoring your lines, use a bone folder and really fold the lines. When putting the box together, turn the box on the 8 1/2" side. Fold both the left and right on the 11" side into the piece on the 8 1/2" side. I would of taken pictures but I can't spend a ton of time on my post today, Hannah is sick with pneumonia again. If done right, the box will look crisp and will stand flat.

I decorated my box using a NEW image from Stamps and Smiles called "Love You". This image is available to purchase at the Stamps and Smiles store. After printing the image, I colored Cuppy up using my Copics. The balloon was printed again and popped up, crystal affects was added to give it even more dimension.
