OCC - Sketch Challenge

Hello and thanks for stopping by! Today’s card is for this week’s challenge over at Our Creative Corner. Our challenge this week is a sketch challenge.

For my design, I decided to use Carl the Cupcake by Stamps and Smiles. We have a bunch of birthdays coming up so I am trying to get a few cards done and out of the way. My card was pieced together using extra scraps (YEA). The background paper is from Imaginisce and after I cut out the balloons, I added a little glue and sprinkled on some more of this chunky glitter by Martha Stewart. The image was colored in using my Copics and I added more of the chunky glitter to his whip.

There is no time limit on our challenge, so please play along whenever you are able!! However to be eligible for the Stamps and Smiles giveaway, please have your card uploaded to the OCC blog by Friday, June 5th before 6 pm central.

Enjoy your weekend, we have graduation parties to go too and possibly a quick trip to Brookfield zoo - My little guy wants to see the dinosaur exhibit.

Hugs,

For my design I used the set from You Warm My Heart by Stamps and Smiles. The background was embossed on kraft cardstock and then brown ink was sponged on to warm it up just a bit! The sentiment was added to the open space next to the image and then a little ribbon to give it a little fun twist.

Before I go, I would like to share a picture of my daughter and I. Brittney graduated from eighth grade last night. I can not tell you how blessed I am to be her mother and how proud I am of her! Congratulations Brittney, I LOVE you SO much!!

Project Tuesday - Pop-up Accordion Card

Hello & thanks for stopping by, I hope you all had a wonderful holiday!! Today’s project is for this week’s challenge over at Stamps and Smiles - Project Tuesday. Every Tuesday a NEW Project Challenge along with samples will be posted, we warmly invite you to play along or just be inspired!!

Our challenge today is to create a pop-up accordion card. For step by step instructions, please click here. These cards are so much fun to create and really add a fun dimension to your card designs!!

As you can see from my samples below, I used both Happy Birthday Cupcake & Carl the Cupcake (sentiment) from Stamps and Smiles. I also added a ton of glitter, good thing I stocked up on it this past winter!! All the images were colored in using my Copics and for extra fun, more glitter was added to most of the embellishments on the card.

Here is a close-up of the three pop-ups inside the card. The two outside folds have presents and the one in the middle is holding a birthday cake. The cake is from Quickutz called Birthday Cake & Cupcake from Cut At Home.
Here is a close-up of the presents, I hope you can see by the picture all of the fun sparkle I have added with this chunky glitter by Martha Stewart.

Here is a picture of the inside of the card, I left room for a birthday message.

I hope after seeing the samples over at the Project Tuesday blog, you will be inspired to play along!! Feel free to use your favorite stamps and supplies. Please don't forget to check out our weekly sketch challenge over at Stamps and Smiles. Play along with us each week and you will have a chance to win an exclusive Stamps and Smiles goodie bag PLUS be our next Guest Design for Stamps and Smiles!!

Stamps and Smiles Sketch Challenge - SASSC16

Hello & thanks for stopping by! Today's card is for this week's sketch challenge over at Stamps and Smiles. Every Thursday we post a NEW sketch, we warmly invite you to play along.
Here is a close-up of my fun beach scene. I was at Michaels the other day and found the beach punch and star fish by EK Success. The paper is from some scraps that I had left over from Imaginisce. Cuppy is certainly sporting her NEW tan, she is from the Stamps and Smiles set Hello Spring.
After punching out the beach background, I sponged on some close to cocoa and used my color spritzer to make it pop! The starfish were also sponged with close to cocoa and I just used my SU marker and added the 3 dots.
There is no time limit on our challenge, so please play along whenever you are able!! However to be eligible for the Stamps and Smiles goodie bag each week, please have your card uploaded the night before at 6 pm central time.
Well we are off to the beach and a fun boat ride with the family! Enjoy your day & thanks again for stopping by!

Project Tuesday - Peek-a-Boo Treat Holder

Hello & thanks for stopping by!! Today's project is for this week’s challenge over at Stamps and Smiles - Project Tuesday. Every Tuesday a NEW Project Challenge along with samples will be posted, we warmly invite you to play along or just be inspired!!

Our challenge today is to create a Peek-a-Boo Treat Holder. For step by step instructions, please click here. These treat holders are so easy & fun to make! I hope after seeing the samples over at the Project Tuesday blog, you will be inspired to play along!! Feel free to use your favorite stamps and supplies.
For my project, I had to alter the directions to fit my cookie inside. Since I did not have a 12 x 12 piece of cardstock, I cut out 2 pieces of kraft cardstock that measured 4 x 8 1/2. I scored each piece at 4 and 4 1/2. The chocolate chunks were stamped using a NEW released set by Stamps and Smiles called You Warm My Heart. After the stamping was done on both pieces, I sponged on some close to cocoa ink to make the back ground pop!
For the window, I used my circle Nestabilities from Cut At Home. To finish it off, I added the sentiment and some twine.

Don't forget to check out our weekly sketch challenge over at Stamps and Smiles. Play along with us each week and you will have a chance to win an exclusive Stamps and Smiles goodie bag PLUS be our next Stamps and Smiles Guest Designer!

Before I go, I would like to announce the winner for last week’s Project Tuesday Giveaway. Congratulations to Denise from Denise Loves Stamps, please email me your pick in the Cuppy or Carl paper clip giveaway.

Enjoy your week!!

I am using one of my NEW sets called Hello Spring by Stamps and Smiles. This one is one of my favorites; there are so many possibilities with this set. After coloring Cuppy, I added some chunky glitter by Martha Stewart on her whip.
