For my design I used the stamp set from Stamps and Smiles called Cuppy Love. Since I still had this NEW paper by Stampin' Up! - The Write Stuff, on my stamp table, I grabbed it for my layout. Cuppy was stamped in Memento ink and colored in with my Copics - which I LOVE!! To finish off my card, Some fun swirls were added along with a bow. Lately I have been leaving off the sentiment, I can always add that late on the inside of my card.

Stamps and Smiles - Project Tuesday

Hello and thanks for stopping by! Today’s project is for this week’s challenge over at Project Tuesday. This week we created a pull treats, have you ever made one? It was super quick and easy, I created my project using a Hershey's cookies n' creme candy bar.

For my project I started with some kraft cardstock and then stamped it using a set by Stamps and Smiles called You Warm My Heart. The 6 x 7 pieces of kraft cardstock was stamped using the chocolate chunks from the stamp set and close to cocoa ink was sponged on to give it a little warmth to the project. Circles were punched out using the Nestabilities and then I layered my Cuppy image. Cuppy was stamped in Memento ink and colored in using my Copics. To finish off my project, I added the ribbon and then the candy bar.

We hope you will stop by and play along, most of our projects only take a few minutes to create. Grab you favorite stamps and supplies and join us each week!! Last week we created a fun a sour cream container. For more fun idea's using this fun project idea, please stop the Project Tuesday blog.

Thanks so much for stopping by, here is the recipe: Recipe ~ Stamps: You Warm My Heart - Stamps and Smiles Ink: Memento Paper: White, Chocolate Chip, Kraft, Pink Pirouette Accessories: Copics, Ribbon, Martha Stewart Glitter.

Before I go I would like to share a little treasure I found... I was sorting through some of my things from when I was a teenager and came across a tube that had some of my old music posters. As I was unrolling the posters, Morten looked right at me... I said to myself "NO WAY"... can you believe I saved my A-ha poster?!?! It's been in this tube for 22 years! After the shock, I raced to Michael's and bought a frame and framed it. My husband is teasing me and asking me where I want to hang it... above my bed I thought (just kidding)!! Since I create a ton during the week, it will be placed in my stamp room!! Oh and to top it off, I also found out (the same day) that A-ha will be coming back to tour in America in 2010!! Listen to it yourself in an interview on BBC - it is towards the end of the clip)

Our July hostess, Jenny Gropp, has challenged us to create a card or project using 3 or more embellishments. We warmly invite you to play along, feel free to use your favorite stamps and supplies.

Since my daughters Birthday is right around the corner, I thought I would experiment with card layouts. Hannah is our little princess and I know she will love sending these to our family and friends.

As you can see by my sample, my three embellishments are: Brads, ribbon and a button. The paper is by Making Memories called Giggle Kids, I LOVE it!! I then popped up an oval using my oval Nestabilities and layered on my pinwheel. My pinwheel measured 3.5 x 3.5 - Click here for directions. To make the stick, I cut a sucker stick and covered it with adhesive and then wrapped ribbon around it. To finish off the card, I added some fun swirls and the tag.
